Fundraising for an organization, such as ours, is a crucial part of the "Hockey" experience. Our program is compiled of efforts from all our families in our organization, which is greatly appreciated! The children enjoy the game and the parents enjoy the reasonable cost. We get drawn in with the instructional program, and before we know it, our child is on a travel team and the cost increases!

Many organizations do not fundraise due to the inconveniences and hassles associated with fundraising. However, they also pay a great deal more for the same hockey experience that we enjoy. We are able to keep the cost down due to our continued efforts in fundraising. It is very important these days for families to be able to afford the expenses that come along with any sport. We have been able to raise $25,000 towards the $50,000 operating cost per year due to our fundraising efforts! This helps considerably in keeping the program affordable!

The fundraising meetings are generally held every second Tuesday of the month at the Colbeigh Library in Lyndonville and everyone is always welcome and encouraged to attend. There are times when a meeting has to be changed or a special meeting is called, but we try to accomodate everyone by announcing this to key people who can spread the word. The fundraising meeting dates and times will also be posted on the bulletin board at the arena and on the LAYHA Homepage website during the season.
